About Alex

The short version is that I'm just another guy with a blog. I believe in and am being changed by the Gospel, and so I'm thankful my story is somehow anchored in The Story and that while I'm very much a pilgrim in progress the end of the story is good.

I'm a husband to one and a dad to three who are young enough to render me a human jungle gym. I grew up in the Atlanta area and graduated from Furman University with a degree in history and communication studies. Keri and I got married a year after I graduated and moved to Louisville, KY, where I earned a couple of degrees from Southern Seminary. I did doctoral work in Christian apologetics and worldview, incorporating some work in systematic theology and world religions, but I never finished because God had other plans. Fast forward a few years and we live in Greenville, South Carolina and I work in the family business as an insurance broker. I also coach youth soccer and make a mean quesadilla. And, as you may have guessed, I really enjoy writing (about all sorts of things).

If you like my writing and want me to write for you, we can certainly talk about that too.
